A finished card on a workbench with thin threads connecting each of its parts to rows of a paper spreadsheet.

Make this comp data-driven

You already made the comp. Bring your sheet, and Valet proposes its slots, rigs each one to a column, previews a row and saves a starter you can use again.

In Valet 1.5.0 and later Needs DataDriver 0.7.0 or later too.

Good for

  • a card you designed by hand
  • a template from a past job
  • a client’s own comp

Three ways to use it

  1. Your design, now driven. Open the product card you designed and load the sheet of products — the text and pictures follow each row.
  2. Rescue an old template. Last year’s event card, this year’s speakers: rig the old comp to the new sheet instead of retyping it.
  3. Keep it for next time. Every run registers a starter, so it is there for the next sheet of the same kind.

You need

  • an open comp
  • a sheet (CSV or Google Sheet)

You get

rigs on the comp, 1 component, 1 starter · about 3 minutes
